The blue heart of Trentino
The Lake Caldonazzo is the largest natural lake belonging entirely to Trentino and the warmest of all the Alpine lakes.
The clear and warm water can reach a teperature up to 27° C; unlike most of the mountain lakes, the water remains shallow for several meters from the shore, allowing even the small children to move, play and swim in peace.
Many free beaches are stretched on the shores of the lake. The most visited beaches, thanks to the quality of the services and of the picturesque landscape, are located in the Caldonazzo area. One of the most beautiful is located just a few meters from the entrance of our campsite, it is pebbly like the bottom of the lake.
The lake covers an area of 627 m2 and with a length of 5 km.
The Caldonazzo Lake has received the prestigious international Blue Flag award, which distinguishes it for the cleanliness of the bathing waters and for the initiatives for raising environmental awareness and guaranteeing an eco-sustainable management of the territory and of tourism.
Dogs are not allowed on the lakefront and on the beaches. However there is a small stretch of beach where dogs are allowed: More info
