The Caldonazzo Lake is the largest natural lake belonging entirely to Trentino and the warmest of all the Alpine lakes. The clear and warm water can reach up to 27°, unlike most of the mountain lakes, it remains shallow for several meters from the shore, allowing even the smallest to move, play and swim in peace.
The lake covers an area of 627 m2, with a length of 5 km2 and an average depth of about 27 meters. It has received the prestigious international Blue Flag award, which distinguishes it for the cleanliness of the bathing waters and for the initiatives for raising environmental awareness and guaranteeing an eco-sustainable management of the territory and of tourism.
Many free beaches are stretched on the shores of the lake, with the presence of well organized and equipped bathing establishments.
The most visited beaches, because of the quality of the services and of the picturesque landscape, are located in the Caldonazzo area. There is one of the most beautiful just a few meters from the entrance of our campsite, it is pebbly like the bottom of the lake.
Dogs are not allowed on the lakefront and on the beaches, but there is a small area of reserved beach away from our structure.
